Douglas Borthwick at Faros Trading says "a sea of change from the
reserve-manager community," normally supportive of the euro, had taken place
last week. He attributes it in part to Stark's resignation but also "growing
fatigue over European dithering." Borthwick says though official buying will
slow rather than dissipate altogether, "they will stop buying euro/dollar if
there is a significant event in Europe."
